Yevgeny Ananin
Principal Software Engineer
What do you do at PMMI Media Group?
Principal software engineer.  I develop and maintain our lead management portal (Leadworks), Gravada (the Game Plan/Second Look engine), and various other of our in house platforms.
How long have you worked for PMMI Media Group?
12 years.
What is your favorite part about what you do?
My favorite part is solving complex problems and building tools that make people’s day-to-day work easier. I especially enjoy taking an idea or workflow and turning it into something practical and seeing it become part of how the company operates.
What is a trending topic that you're keeping a close eye on in packaging and processing/marketing/technology?
On the technology side I’m keeping up on all the trends related to AI, specifically related to coding and data analysis.  I’m currently using AI to generate 100% of my code and I’m working on getting other team members (coders and non-coders) leveled up and contributing to our codebase.
How did you discover/end up in the packaging/processing industry?
I came into the industry through software development. I joined PMMI Media Group to work on internal platforms, and over time I’ve learned a lot about the packaging and processing space by building tools that support our sales, marketing, and lead management teams.
What has been your proudest moment ormost significant project since joining the team?
One of my proudest accomplishments has been helping build and evolve Leadworks over the years.  It’s a key platform for our business, and it’s been rewarding to continually improve it.
How would you describe the PMMI Media Group team culture?
Collaborative and supportive. People are always willing to share ideas and help solve problems together, and there’s a real openness to trying new things and improving how we work.
Fun fact about yourself?
I like solving logic and puzzle-type problems, whether that’s debugging a tricky software issue, figuring out how systems connect, or getting pulled into a good word game. Outside of work, I enjoy learning about history and technology.
